1. How long will the tour take?
The tour is a one-hour walking tour. Plan to arrive at the point of departure at the intersection of Craven and S. Front Street 10 to 15 minutes before the time of your tour to check in. It will take approximately 10 minutes to walk back to the point of departure after the tour. Tour guides will escort guests back to the point of departure and will be available to answer questions.
2. How should I dress?
Although we make frequent stops along the way, there is no opportunity to sit down. Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Also be prepared for cooler evening temperatures.
3. What if it is raining?
The Ghosts of New Bern™ conducts tours in the rain unless lightening is present. If you are in doubt, call the number on your ticket, 252.571.4766.
4. We have a family member in a wheelchair. Can he take the tour?
The tour travels city sidewalks. Strollers and wheelchairs can be used on the tour.
5. What about rest room breaks?
There are no rest rooms available during the tour.
6. Will we enter any buildings?
No, the tour takes place on the sidewalks of the Historic District.
